# $WEST Token

### <mark style="color:yellow;">$WEST In-Game Currency</mark>

**$WEST** is exclusively for in-game transactions. Players will use it for activities like gambling in saloons, dueling with other members, playing mini-games, competing in competitive mode, and trading in-game items.

**$WEST** is minted daily with no cap and can ONLY be earned through [Broken mention](broken://pages/ewWUEcp4IlhIwPPLwK3Z) **Staking** and **Play-to-Earn (P2E) events**. Players pledge $POSSE to participate in seasonal $WILD earning events driven by competitive esports-style gameplay, climbing the 'Most Wanted' rankings.

### <mark style="color:yellow;">$WEST Earning Mechanism</mark>

The **$WEST** earning tool is the primary driver of volume in our GameFi ecosystem. By players being incentivized to "cash in" their **$WEST** for **$WILD** rewards, it creates a natural sell pressure on **$WILD** and keeps volume moving. Buy pressure, meanwhile, is generated from various events, including merchandise sales, NFT drops, AI Avatars, platform-based earning vaults, and other external revenue streams.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.possestudios.org/undefined-3/tokenomics/usdwest-token.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
